Everybody wants to be as healthy as they can but not every person has the time to try and do the required amount of exercise to get there. This is one of the reasons that this ten thousand step system has become well-liked. The strategy is that you take at least ten thousand steps each day (walking) which can help you get very healthy and reduce the time that is required for exercise. Walking can be fantastic physical exercise and really low impact. How often have you over heard “if he’d merely taken a walk around the block every now and then?”

Obviously walking ten thousand steps each day won’t be simple. That’s a great deal of steps to take! The best part is that you almost certainly already take nearly all of those steps each day already and don’t know it yet.

All you need to do is learn how to add in a couple or few thousand extra steps to reach this goal. So how do you do that without feeling like you’re wasting half of your day walking around?

There are generally a few obvious techniques that you can use to increase your step count. Use the stairs as opposed to the elevator–that’s quite simple. Parking at the far end on the parking lot is additionally advisable at the mall or the store. Keep the car in one spot and walk your bags and boxes out to the car after you finish shopping in each store as an alternative to just carrying more and more things with you as you run your errands and go shopping. Taking public transit also can increase your step count as you have to walk to your bus or train stop and then back home instead of just walking to your car. And, obviously, taking a simple walk every single day is a great way to increase your step count.

When you go to the store or the mall park further away from the entrance. Keep your vehicle in one spot and walk your bags and boxes out to the car after you finish shopping in each store instead of just carrying more and more things with you as you run your errands and go shopping. Using public travel is great for increasing your step count since you have to walk to the bus stop and back instead of just to and from the car. Obviously, simply just taking a short walk each day is also a good idea.

You may decide to order your list in accordance with category like meat, product and dairy. Then get every item in the order that it is detailed on your list. Sure you’ll find yourself running back and forth through the store however it can be great for taking extra steps every day. Put your mailbox on a post on the curb as an alternative to on your door or in your wall. This means that the simple act of checking your mail can create a few dozen steps each day.

There are a lot of ways to build your current step count. As you get used to the idea of walking 10,000 steps a day you’ll think of excellent ways to reach this goal faster. Thankfully, every single step you take–whether it’s walking to the refrigerator or running on a treadmill, counts toward your end step count goal. Have fun with it!
